Once the framing was nearing completion, Steve had his cousin-in-law Brad come in to give him advice on wiring since he is an electrician.  Here are some pics of the wiring work.

Here are Steve, Brad, and Zach working hard to get Steve started on the wiring. Zach is on the phone negotiating a good deal on lights!

Our new subpanel.

Here are the recessed lights that Steve put in the great room.

Here's another view of the recessed lights. Don't they look awesome?

Steve has a gazillion outlets in his workshop.

Display light over the soon-to-be fireplace.

Display light for the home theater screen.

Display lights for the recessed part of our wall.

Does Joyce know Steve spent $500 on dimmer switches and a remote control for the lights?

Steve put in a whole house intercom. Here's Joyce in the kitchen telling Steve to come up from the basement because lunch is ready. The intercom works great as a baby monitor for the boys too.

Here's the intercom for the front door. We weren't planning on putting this in, but it came with the kit we bought. It's really nice because we don't need a doorbell for the basement since it rings on every intercom in the house.
